I seriously had the best time with this family. I know photographers say that a lot, but this family is different. Lauren and I met back in 2016. We were both in the early stages of our businesses, and on a whim, she messaged me and asked if I could take some pictures of her and her instructors for @fit4mom_redlands_yucaipa
That one little yes to a project I would never normally do, opened the door to a friendship and a comradery between two self-employed work from home moms. We’ve cheered each other on and given each other advice because we both understand what it takes to be the boss, employee, book keeper, accountant, debt collector, customer service rep, working mom, wife, and the 90 other hats you wear as a business owner. Running a business can be lonely and scary when you don’t have anyone else to look to for answers, but knowing you have a friend, although not in the same exact business as you, takes some of that stress and pressure off. Thank you again @lbgillmore for trusting me with your family’s memories once again. Your hard work and dedication inspire me as a mom and business owner 🌿

A few weeks ago while I was scanning Pinterest and all things fall, I came across THE cutest pin. It was of two golden retrievers dressed up in homemade ghost costumes sitting on a porch. Leona just happened to lean over and immediately squealed. “Mom, we have to do that with Bridgers!” The idea we’re already swirling around in my head. Bridgette, spelled the fancy French way, is our almost 8 year old miniature dapple dachshund. She has many nicknames, and if you’ve ever been to my house, you’ll probably hear at least 3 of them. She’s the sweetest little thing, but has the spunk and go get’em mentality of a dog 10 times her size. She’s been my side kick before my human sidekick was born and I’m definitely her person. I don’t take that privilege for granted. I knew she’d let me dress her up and take lots of pictures to recreate my version of that Halloween doggy pin on Pinterest. I’ve been dressing up my animals since I was Leona’s age, so why stop now 😂 Go check out my stories to see the behind the scenes of our ghost doggy costume👻

Not too many places in this part of So Cal that have leaves that change during the fall 🍂 I believe if you speak something out loud, you are letting the universe know that you are ready for it to happen. So Universe...I would love to live on a few acres, in a small and cozy house with the ones I love. If you are open to adding a cherry on top, I’d like to have trees with leaves that change, a small area with some Christmas trees, a small creek, a wooden fence lined road, and a view of some beautiful rolling hills. Oh, and I wouldn’t mind if it snowed just a handful of times a year. A girl can dream right? 🍁

It’s almost the weekend 🙌 And guess what I’ll be doing tomorrow evening????? Yup, your girl is gonna go see IT Chapter II 🤡 I am sooooo stoked!!! But, I’ll be honest. 6 years ago I was blessed with the gift of a tiny

6 years ago I was blessed with the gift of a tiny miracle. 12 weeks early and weighing 2 lbs 10 oz she made her mark on this world. I took one look at her and knew I would never be the same. She owned my heart. She fought hard in those early days, and while I wanted to believe her fighting days ended in the Nicu, we know they hadn’t. She has worked hard for everything. Her heart and dedication never ceases to amaze me. Determined and unwavering she takes on everything even when it’s scary. She has been through more than most adults experience in a lifetime. Her gentle heart and silly spirit make my days brighter. She has faced some new roadblocks recently, and slammed dunked on them. She has made improvements that I honestly wasn’t sure she could do. Ain’t no one gonna hold her down. Can’t nobody stop her now. So happy birthday to the most beautiful soul. I love you. I love you. I love you ❤️
