Just The Three of Us
Inland Empire Photographer | Redlands, Ca | Family Session
Recently on Instagram, I asked you guys to describe my photography style in three words. Stephanie answered and I was absolutely blown away by her kind words. “Natural, warm, and heart-centered” is the way she described them. I seriously got a lump in my throat. At that point we had never met, yet she described my images in such a beautiful way. We had a few short conversations through social media, but that was it up until that point. Her words are exactly how I want you to feel when you see the images that come from any session. These are your moments. Your stories. Your legacy.
Meeting
After chatting for a bit, Stephanie and I were finally able to set a date for her family session. I shoot all sessions in the Inland Empire at some of the most gorgeous spots in Southern California. I was so excited to meet the H family, especially little Alex. The day of our session, I packed my camera bag and drove to meet my new clients. They picked one of my most popular locations. It’s a short drive to Redlands for me, so I had some time to walk around for a few minutes before they arrived. The location they picked never disappoints. The lighting is always perfect and there is lots of variety for a full session.
Getting Started
I saw their car drive up so I walked over to where they could see me, waving like a 2 year old at Disneyland. (I’m a bit of a dork ;). Soon I was greeted by Stephanie, Michael, and sweet baby Alex. Sometimes littles ones need a little bit of time to warm up, and Alex was no different. But, in the end, we were buds. I had to dance a little and make some funny sounds, but I eventually won him over. He even showed my his little baby teeth and flashed me a grin that will light up any day.
Feeling Like a Friend
You know, in life there are some people you get the privilege to meet and right away they feel like friends. Stephanie and Michael were so sweet and made me feel like we’ve known each other for years. We talked about careers and our journey to parenthood. Stephanie and I both became mothers around the same age. I left their session excited to go back and look over every image. I already knew the story I would tell through their pictures. One of strength, compassion, and unconditional love.
Thank you H family. You invited me into your life like a friend. I feel honored and privileged to have met you. and blessed that you picked me out of dozens of other photographers.
Here are just a few of my favorites from their Inland Empire Family Session.
